DB Probing Own Official: Independent body should do it

Detective Branch police will investigate a phone call that a former CID official's spouse made. She allegedly offered a "senior DB officer" a bribe in the amount of Tk 1.42 million so her husband can be freed from a robbery. Rights defenders claimed that DB's announcement of yesterday about its investigation would lead to mistrust. They suggested that an independent investigation be conducted.
